Our primary mission is to serve those in addiction recovery programs. While our dental clinic offers low-cost services to all individuals in the Bessemer and Birmingham communities, we extend a special invitation to patients in recovery programs.
Because of our low-cost services, we do not accept any types of insurance.
Our staff is comprised of a highly talented and diverse group of professionals who make a unique team dedicated to professional excellence and service to others. Many of our clinicians are in training who are residents in an ADA-approved post-doctoral AEGD Residency. In addition, a host of church and community volunteers support the FDC family as a life-giving source of light and love that enhances our capacity to expand and serve more. If you are interested in volunteering at the clinic, either as a dentist, hygienist, assistant, receptionist -- accountant, handy-man, or anything else! -- we welcome your gifts and contributions. Our clinic could not operate without the generous support of our community volunteers.
We have been involved in post-doctoral dental education at the Foundry for over 10 years, and the program has been a huge contributor to our mission. We believe we offer the strongest clinically-based AEGD experience in the country, especially for residents interested in surgical experience. We just want to help our patients, and they happen to need a lot of surgery -- and many other general dentistry procedures as well. Our AEGD residents work with us to manage 10 times the number of patients we could otherwise help, and for that we are grateful.

Whether you are in severe pain due to a tooth ache or have a traumatic dental injury, we can provide treatment to help you. Please call or visit our office for assistance.
It may take us a few hours to get to you, but if you come before 10 AM, we will do all we can to see you that day. Sometimes we do not take walk-ins on Fridays.
